The Betty Averbach Award

This award is to be distributed to Indigenous students who are attending post-secondary institutions across Canada with demonstrated financial need. Although demonstrated financial need will be the primary consideration, other factors may also be considered such as involvement in and contribution to the community as a whole and demonstrated academic merit.

The Betty Averbach Foundation is a private charitable family foundation first endowed by Betty Averbach in 2006. The foundation was established to support three pillars of action in Canada including the health and welfare of underprivileged youth.
