Air Canada Indigenous Students Award

This renewable award will be distributed annually to Indigenous student(s) who are attending approved post-secondary institutions enrolled in aviation programs to become a commercial pilot with demonstrated financial need for contribution to education costs. There will be one renewable award granted to a student in other programs such as aerospace engineering along with disciplines that pertain to Air Canada’s business operations such as finance, marketing, business management, information technology, law and human resources with demonstrated financial need.

Alexisonfire Indigenous Music Bursary

The Alexisonfire Indigenous Music Bursary will be distributed annually to Indigenous students attending post-secondary institutions. Students demonstrating a need for financial contribution for educational costs and interested in the course of music study, will be prioritized. This award was established in 2020 in memory of the band’s longtime friend and sound technician, Karl Bareham (1982-2019).

The Taggart Award for Algonquin Students

The award is to be distributed to eligible students of Algonquin heritage from one of the 10 Algonquin communities represented by AOO who are attending a college, university, technical college, or an apprenticeship program in Canada.

Allstate Canada Bursary & Mentorship Program for Indigenous Youth

AltaGas Bursary

These bursaries will be distributed annually to Indigenous students from either the Prince Rupert area or Fort St. John area of British Columbia who are attending post-secondary institutions with demonstrated financial need with a preference to students studying in a field closely related to the oil and gas field, in particular gas plant operators. Preference will be given to students from: Blueberry River First Nation, Gitga’ At First Nation, Gitxaala Nation, Haisla First Nation, Halfway River First Nation, Kisumkalum First Nation, Kitselas First Nation, Lax Kw’alaams Band, Metlakatla First Nation, West Moberly First Nation or students from other communities in British Columbia.
