Bob Bunting Bursary

The Bob Bunting Bursary was established by Joan, his sister, to honour Bob and his love of music and drama, while helping Indigenous students to continue their education. This bursary is a small act of reconciliation – to recognize what was taken away from Indigenous people and the trauma that is ongoing.

This bursary is for students who want to study the creative arts, because art is necessary for life to thrive. Life without art is merely existence and the creative arts are an inherent part of Indigenous culture.

This bursary will be distributed annually to Indigenous students who are attending post-secondary institutions with demonstrated financial need and who meet the following criteria:

Studying in creative arts, such as: Drama/Theatre Arts, Visual and Fine Arts, Film/Video Production, Music, Fashion Design, Dance.
