This Award

Bachelor of Education Bursary

These awards will be distributed annually to Indigenous students who are attending post-secondary institutions (i.e. college, university, technical college, or apprenticeship program) who meet the award-specific criteria. Other selection criteria includes: academic performance, financial need, and community involvement. Students must be accepted/enrolled in a Bachelor of Education Program at the University of Manitoba or the Integrated Education program at the University of Winnipeg

Preference will be given to students from the following communities: Fox Lake Cree Nation, Nisichawayasihk Cree Nation (Nelson House), Split Lake (Tataskweyak Cree Nation), War Lake First Nation, or York Factory First Nation, however, if there are no eligible recipients in a given year from these communities, students from Manitoba will be considered.

Bachelor of Nursing Bursary

These awards will be distributed annually to Indigenous students who are attending post-secondary institutions (i.e. college, university, technical college, or apprenticeship program) who meet the award-specific criteria. Other selection criteria includes: academic performance, financial need, and community involvement. Students must be accepted/enrolled in a Bachelor of Nursing Program at the University of Manitoba or Brandon University, Bachelor of Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse/Nursing at the University of Winnipeg or the Joint Baccalaureate Nursing Program at the University College of the North in partnership with the University of Manitoba

Preference will be given to students from the following communities: Fox Lake Cree Nation, Nisichawayasihk Cree Nation (Nelson House), Split Lake (Tataskweyak Cree Nation), War Lake First Nation, or York Factory First Nation, however, if there are no eligible recipients in a given year from these communities, students from Manitoba will be considered.

Business Administration Bursary

These awards will be distributed annually to Indigenous students who are attending post-secondary institutions (i.e. college, university, technical college, or apprenticeship program) who meet the award-specific criteria. Other selection criteria includes: academic performance, financial need, and community involvement. Students must be accepted/enrolled in a two-year Business Administration Diploma Program at the Assiniboine Community College, Manitoba Institute of Trades and Technology, Red River College, or the University College of the North

Preference will be given to students from the following communities: Fox Lake Cree Nation, Nisichawayasihk Cree Nation (Nelson House), Split Lake (Tataskweyak Cree Nation), War Lake First Nation, or York Factory First Nation, however, if there are no eligible recipients in a given year from these communities, students from Manitoba will be considered.

Certificate Program Award

Certificate Program Awards are offered to students who are in an eligible one-year certificate program at a recognized educational institute. Students must be enrolled in one of the following certificate programs: Administrative Assistant, Human Resources Assistant, Contact Centre Representative, Business & Administrative Studies, Computer Applications, Network Support, or Electrical

Preference will be given to students from the following communities: Fox Lake Cree Nation, Nisichawayasihk Cree Nation (Nelson House), Split Lake (Tataskweyak Cree Nation), War Lake First Nation, or York Factory First Nation, however, if there are no eligible recipients in a given year from these communities, students from Manitoba will be considered.

First Year Business Bursary

These awards will be distributed annually to Indigenous students who are attending post-secondary institutions (i.e. college, university, technical college, or apprenticeship program) who meet the award-specific criteria. Other selection criteria includes: academic performance, financial need, and community involvement. Students must be accepted into first year of studies of a four-year degree program at the University of Manitoba, University of Winnipeg, Brandon University or University College of the North for: Business (majoring in accounting, finance, human resources, or marketing) OR Four-year business administration degree program (majoring in accounting, finance, human resources, or marketing)

Preference will be given to students from the following communities: Fox Lake Cree Nation, Nisichawayasihk Cree Nation (Nelson House), Split Lake (Tataskweyak Cree Nation), War Lake First Nation, or York Factory First Nation, however, if there are no eligible recipients in a given year from these communities, students from Manitoba will be considered.

First Year Engineering Bursary

These awards will be distributed annually to Indigenous students who are attending post-secondary institutions (i.e. college, university, technical college, or apprenticeship program) who meet the award-specific criteria. Other selection criteria includes: academic performance, financial need, and community involvement. Students must be accepted into first year of studies of a four-year degree program at the University of Manitoba in engineering (electrical, biosystems, civil, or mechanical), a member of the Engineering ACCESS Program (ENGAP).

Preference will be given to students from the following communities: Fox Lake Cree Nation, Nisichawayasihk Cree Nation (Nelson House), Split Lake (Tataskweyak Cree Nation), War Lake First Nation, or York Factory First Nation, however, if there are no eligible recipients in a given year from these communities, students from Manitoba will be considered.

Natural Resource Management Technology Bursary

These awards will be distributed annually to Indigenous students who are attending post-secondary institutions (i.e. college, university, technical college, or apprenticeship program) who meet the award-specific criteria. Other selection criteria includes: academic performance, financial need, and community involvement. Students must be accepted/enrolled in Natural Resource Management Technology at the University College of the North

Preference will be given to students from the following communities: Fox Lake Cree Nation, Nisichawayasihk Cree Nation (Nelson House), Split Lake (Tataskweyak Cree Nation), War Lake First Nation, or York Factory First Nation, however, if there are no eligible recipients in a given year from these communities, students from Manitoba will be considered.

Pathway to Engineering Technology Bursary

These awards will be distributed annually to Indigenous students who are attending post-secondary institutions (i.e. college, university, technical college, or apprenticeship program) who meet the award-specific criteria. Other selection criteria includes: academic performance, financial need, and community involvement. AStudents must be enrolled in a Pathways to Engineering Technology Program at Red River College. Eligible programs include Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering Technology

Preference will be given to students from the following communities: Fox Lake Cree Nation, Nisichawayasihk Cree Nation (Nelson House), Split Lake (Tataskweyak Cree Nation), War Lake First Nation, or York Factory First Nation, however, if there are no eligible recipients in a given year from these communities, students from Manitoba will be considered.
