About Ontario Aboriginal Partnerships Recognition Scholarship

The Ministry of Indigenous Relations and Reconciliation (MIRR) leads Ontario’s Indigenous agenda and works with Indigenous communities to ensure a better future for almost 300,000 First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples living in Ontario. The ministry’s key priorities are building stronger relationships, enhancing government awareness of Indigenous peoples, and working toward resolving land claims and addressing Indigenous rights and treaty rights. MIRR promotes collaboration and coordination among Ontario ministries and Indigenous partners on the development and delivery of Indigenous policy and programs and engages the federal government on key priorities and issues.
