Syncrude Indigenous Engineering Scholarship
The Syncrude Indigenous Engineering scholarship provides support to Indigenous students who are enrolled or who will be enrolled in accredited, post-secondary engineering programs in Canada. Although demonstrated financial need is the award’s primary consideration, other factors may also be considered, including community service and academic achievement.
Rod Hyde Indigenous Education Award
This award is to be distributed to Indigenous students who are attending post-secondary institutions across Canada with demonstrated financial need for contribution to education costs. Students must be from the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo, with a preference for students from Fort McKay. The First Nation and Métis communities and towns that are part of the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo include: Mikisew Cree First Nation, Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation, Fort McKay First Nation, Fort McMurray No. 468 First Nation and Chipewyan Prairie Dene First Nation; and Anzac, Conklin, Fort Chipewyan, Fort Fitzgerald, Fort McKay, Fort McMurray, Gregoire Lake Estates, Janvier, and Saprae Creek.
